A chilly start gives way to a cool afternoon across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with clouds gradually breaking for a little sunshine later today. Highs will only reach the upper 50s, and light east winds will keep that cooler feel in place.
Tonight stays quiet and fairly comfortable. Skies turn partly cloudy, with lows settling near 50 as winds ease up and begin to shift back from the south.
Tomorrow brings a big turnaround. Expect plenty of sunshine and a much warmer afternoon, with highs jumping into the lower 80s. South winds will pick up through the day, signaling the start of a warmer stretch that continues into Monday and Tuesday with highs climbing well into the 80s.
The next better chance for rain and thunderstorms arrives Tuesday night into Wednesday, with scattered showers lingering at times through late week. Right now, the Metroplex looks more in line for spotty rounds of rain than widespread severe weather, but a few storms will be possible.
