North Texas stays quiet tonight with mostly clear skies across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It’ll remain mild for late March, with lows generally in the lower to middle 60s and a light south breeze easing overnight.
Friday brings the big change. We’ll start fairly warm, but a cold front will sweep through during the day and knock temperatures down fast. Highs should reach the upper 60s to lower 70s before many spots slip back into the 60s by afternoon. A few sprinkles are possible, but most of the Metroplex will stay dry. The bigger story will be the north wind, which turns gusty by afternoon with occasional gusts near 30 to 35 mph.
Friday night into Saturday stays cooler with lots of clouds and a small chance of a brief light shower. Weekend temperatures settle into the 60s Saturday, then rebound nicely with sunshine and 80s by Sunday and early next week. By Wednesday, there’s a slight chance for a few showers or thunderstorms as warmer air holds on.
The main impact is Friday’s sharp cooldown and gusty winds, not severe weather or heavy rain.
