A warm spring day is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. After a few early clouds in spots, skies will turn mostly sunny to sunny this afternoon with highs climbing into the upper 80s. South winds will stay breezy at 10 to 20 mph, so it’ll feel a little summer-like by late day.
Tonight stays quiet and mild with mostly clear skies and lows in the lower 60s. Winds remain out of the south, so temperatures won’t fall much overnight.
Friday brings a noticeable change. We’ll start the day fairly mild, but a front will swing through during the afternoon. Highs should reach the mid to upper 70s across much of DFW, then temperatures will slip later in the day as north winds pick up. Gusts of 30 to 35 mph will be possible by afternoon and evening, making it feel much cooler heading into Friday night.
No rain is expected in the Metroplex through Friday, but the cooler weekend air will definitely be the bigger story.
