Today’s DFW Forecast

A Freeze Warning remains in effect through 9 AM as many spots across North Texas started the day near or below freezing. If you have sensitive plants, make sure they’re protected through mid‑morning.

After that cold start, today turns beautiful. Expect plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs climbing into the mid 60s across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. South winds will increase to around 10 to 15 mph this afternoon, kicking off a steady warming trend.

Tonight stays clear and not nearly as cold. Lows will settle into the mid 40s with a light south breeze.

By Wednesday, we really start to warm up. Look for mostly sunny skies and highs pushing into the upper 70s. The warming continues through the end of the week, with 80s Thursday and low 90s by Friday. This weekend looks unseasonably hot, with mid 90s possible by Saturday and Sunday.

Big temperature swing ahead. We’re going from a freeze this morning to summerlike heat by the weekend.
