A mild and breezy night is ahead across the Metroplex. Skies will turn mostly cloudy after sunset with only a slight chance of an isolated shower or storm early this evening. Most neighborhoods stay dry overnight with lows settling into the mid 60s and a steady south wind continuing.
Friday turns more active. Clouds will hang tough with scattered showers possible in the morning, then a better chance for widespread showers and a few thunderstorms developing during the afternoon. Highs will climb to around 80 degrees, and south winds will gust up to 30 mph at times. Friday night remains unsettled with periods of rain and embedded storms.
The weekend stays wet. Showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday as a cold front moves through, bringing falling temperatures during the afternoon and a shift to cooler north winds. Highs will slip into the upper 60s to near 70 by late day. Sunday looks cooler with lingering rain chances before gradual improvement early next week, though occasional storm chances return by Tuesday.
Plan for several rounds of rain through Saturday, with locally heavy downpours possible at times.
