We’re off to a bright and cool start across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, and today looks beautiful from start to finish. Expect plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs in the upper 50s. Winds will stay light out of the northeast around 5 mph, making for a crisp but comfortable late February day.
Tonight will be mostly clear and cold. Lows will dip into the mid to upper 30s with a light south wind developing overnight.
Big changes arrive tomorrow. We’ll turn much warmer under mostly sunny skies, with highs climbing into the lower to mid 70s across DFW. South winds will increase to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon, with gusts up to 30 mph at times. It will feel more like spring by midweek, with 80s returning Wednesday before a slight cool-down later in the week.
The main impact will be gusty south winds Tuesday afternoon, so plan for a breezy commute and secure any loose outdoor items.
