North Texas is settling into a quiet and cooler stretch as we head into the weekend.
Tonight across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, expect partly cloudy skies with lows dipping into the mid to upper 40s. Winds will be light from the east this evening, turning more southerly overnight. It’s a calm and comfortable night overall.
Saturday brings plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid 60s. A northwest wind will increase through the afternoon, occasionally gusty at times, making it feel a touch cooler despite the sun. By Saturday night, clear skies and north winds will allow temperatures to fall into the lower to mid 30s. Some outlying areas north and west of DFW could flirt with a light freeze by early Sunday morning.
Sunday stays sunny but cool, with highs near 60. The dry and seasonably cool pattern holds into Monday.
A big warm-up arrives Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs climb into the 70s Tuesday, then surge into the 80s by midweek before easing back slightly Thursday.
