From Near-Record Heat to a Toasty Christmas: North Texas Forecast

Good Saturday morning, North Texas!

Saturday’s North Texas Forecast Map

Get ready for an unseasonably warm afternoon ahead – near record-breaking territory. Highs will climb into the upper 70s across much of the region, with some spots in our western counties even pushing into the 80s under mostly sunny skies. In the DFW area, we’re forecasting around 78°, putting us very close to tying or possibly breaking the record high of 79° set back in 2010. It’s a perfect day to get outdoors, fire up the grill, or tackle any last-minute holiday errands in short sleeves.

Sunday’s North Texas Forecast Map

A cold front sweeps through late this evening, bringing a quick cool-down overnight. Tomorrow (Sunday), expect more seasonable highs mostly in the 60s, along with a fresh northerly breeze under partly to mostly sunny skies.

DFW 7 Day Temperature Trend

Temperatures rebound quickly as we head into Christmas week, climbing right back into the 70s by mid-week. Christmas Day itself is shaping up to be downright toasty, with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s and possibly low 80s in spots – ideal for any outdoor holiday plans.

We’ll stay dry with no rain in sight through Christmas, so travel should be smooth across the region.

Stay safe and have a wonderful weekend! 🎄 -William
