Storm Fatality

One fatality has been confirmed due to the storms that occurred yesterday evening in Denton County.

A woman died after her RV was overturned by strong winds at the Sanger/Denton North KOA at McClain’s Longhorn RV park, where she was trapped inside with her dog. She was taken to Denton Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition but did not survive. The National Weather Service attributed the damage to straight-line winds rather than a tornado, and no other injuries were reported at the park, though the area saw additional storm damage like uprooted trees and power outages.
