From William Cole: A Areal Flood Watch has been issued for the following counties in North Texas until 12:00 PM Thursday. Collin, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Lamar, Rockwall & Tarrant.

WHAT Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. WHERE Portions of north central and northeast Texas, including the following counties, Collin, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Lamar, Rockwall and Tarrant. WHEN From 6 PM this evening through Thursday morning. IMPACTS Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may become flooded. ADDITIONAL DETAILS – Rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 5 to 7 inches.
