Winter Storm Warning Extended thru Thursday Morning
The Winter Storm Warning has been extended through Thursday morning. Temperatures on Wednesday now appear to be at or below freezing. The precipitation rate will be heavier on Wednesday and with frozen precipitation now likely – Wednesday may be the most significant day for glazing and accumulation of this entire event.

DFW today Cloudy. Freezing rain and sleet likely this morning, then a chance of sleet and freezing rain this afternoon. Around half an inch of sleet accumulation. From William Cole: A Winter Storm Warning has been issued in the Weather Tracker TV DFW coverage area from now until 6:00 AM Thursday for Anderson, Bosque, Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Fannin, Freestone, Grayson, Hamilton, Henderson, Hill, Hood, Hopkins, Hunt, Jack, Johnson, Kaufman, Lamar, Montague, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rains, Rockwall, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, Van Zandt, Wise & Young Counties in North Texas.
Mixed precipitation, primarily in the form of freezing rain and/or sleet is expected. Total ice or sleet accumulations between one quarter and one half of an inch are possible. Pockets of heavier sleet accumulation will be possible.
