For the North Atlantic Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:Central Tropical Atlantic:Shower and T-Storm activity associated with a tropical waveover the central tropical Atlantic continues to become betterorganized. Environmental conditions appear conducive for furtherdevelopment, and a tropical depression is likely to form during theearly to the middle part of this week. This system is forecast tomove westward at 15 to 20 mph over the tropical Atlantic, approachthe Windward Islands on Tuesday, and move across the southeasternCaribbean Sea on Wednesday and Thursday. Interests in the WindwardIslands should monitor the progress of this system.* Formation chance through 48 hours medium 40 percent.* Formation chance through 5 days high 70 percent.Northern Gulf of Mexico:An area of disorganized showers and T-Storms extending fromsoutheastern Louisiana across the northeastern Gulf of Mexico andthe southern part of the Florida peninsula is associated with atrough of low pressure. …ELEVATED TO HIGH FIRE THREAT ALONG AND SOUTH OF A BRECKENRIDGE TO FORT WORTH…AND ALONG AND WEST OF I-35/35W LINE THIS AFTERNOON… VERY HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE IN ADVANCE OF A COLD FRONT EXPECTED INTO THE REGION TODAY. AREAS ALONG AND SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 180, THEN ALONG AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 35/35W WILL SLIGHTLY STRONGER WINDS ALONG THE HIGHER TERRAIN AS THE COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH LATE THIS MORNING AND THROUGH EARLY EVENING. HIGHS BETWEEN 98 AND 103 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED, ALONG WITH RH VALUES FALLING TO AROUND 20 PERCENT, WITH SOUTHWEST WINDS 5-10 MPH, SHIFTING TO THE NORTH, THEN NORTHEAST AT 10 TO 20 MPH. THIS WILL HAVE AN IMPACT ON ONGOING FIRES SUCH AS THE DEMPSEY FIRE IN PALO PINTO COUNTY, AS THE WORST DROUGHT CONDITIONS AND RISING ERC VALUES CONTINUE ACROSS THIS AREA. EXTREME CARE IS URGED DURING ALL OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES WHERE THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR GRASS FIRES TO GET STARTED. AVOID OUTSIDE BURNING AND WELDING. DO NOT TOSS LIT CIGARETTE BUTTS OUTSIDE. REPORT WILDFIRES TO THE NEAREST FIRE DEPARTMENT OR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICE QUICKLY.
