Thursday brings another mostly sunny and oppressive afternoon, with highs near 100 and heat index values of 105 to 107. Though today\u2019s Heat Advisory expires at 8 p.m., heat safety will remain important through the end of the workweek.<\/p>\n<p>Friday and Saturday stay dry, bright, and very hot, with highs in the upper 90s to near 100. Sunday remains hot, but clouds increase late, and a few showers may develop overnight. Rain chances rise to 40 percent Monday, when scattered showers and a few afternoon thunderstorms may interrupt the heat.
