Expect plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs near 105 degrees, while heat index values climb between 110 and 113. The Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through 8 PM, and outdoor plans should be limited during the peak heating of the afternoon. A stray shower or storm is possible mainly north and northeast of DFW, but most of the Metroplex will stay dry.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight will remain mostly clear to partly cloudy, with little relief as temperatures only fall into the upper 70s and lower 80s.<\/p>\n<p>Friday looks much the same: sunny, hot, and humid with highs near 105 to 106. There is a 20 percent chance for an isolated afternoon thunderstorm, but widespread rain is not expected. Heat index values may reach 112 to 115.<\/p>\n<p>Heat safety is the main concern.
