A quiet and warm night is ahead for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Skies will stay mainly clear this evening with a few clouds developing overnight, and temperatures will only fall to the upper 70s. A steady south breeze will keep the air feeling muggy.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow brings another classic late-June day with plenty of sunshine, breezy south winds, and afternoon highs climbing into the mid to upper 90s. A few spots on the west side of the Metroplex could flirt with the upper 90s, and it will feel a bit hotter at times during the afternoon.<\/p>\n

The bigger story through the rest of the weekend and into next week is the building heat. Highs will stay in the upper 90s to near 100 from Sunday through at least Thursday, with heat index values around 105 at times. Winds will remain fairly gusty each afternoon, especially Sunday. Rain chances look very limited for North Texas, so most of the Metroplex stays dry through the extended forecast.<\/p>\n

Heat will be the main impact heading into next week, especially during the afternoon and early evening.<\/p>\n
