After a nearly two month hiatus the tropical Atlantic is active again with Tropical Storm Danielle. This is a high latitude storm in the cooler waters of the Northern Atlantic. The forecast however, still calls for this system to become a minimal hurricane over the next two days and that would mark the first hurricane of the Atlantic season. This system is forecast to stay away from land and the continental United States.
